Robert D. Perry, 97

Robert Donald Perry, of Lancaster, PA, passed peacefully at his home on Friday, March 25, 2022, at the age of 97. Bob was born in Baltimore, MD to the late Arthur Lee and Mary Frances (Gilbert) Perry.

Bob moved from Baltimore to Wilmington, DE as a child, and he lived most of his life there. He graduated from P.S. DuPont High School, served in the U.S. Army during WWII, received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania Military College (Widener), and was employed by The DuPont Company for his entire career. His favorite pastime was playing golf, which he did at every opportunity over the years until he was 94 years old.

Bob was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor (Nawrocki) Perry and his brother, A. Lee Perry. He is survived by daughters Lynn Perry Brenner, of Kennett Square, PA, and Barbara Poukish (Daniel), of Lancaster, PA, son Robert D. Perry, Jr. (Joleen), of Seward, NE, grandchildren: Katelyn Barlet (Brett), Emily Hribick (Joseph), Leah León (Roman), and Ian Perry, and great-grandchildren: Charlotte, Benjamin, and Sadie.

Burial will be private at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Lynn, Barb and Rob, I’m so sorry for the loss of your father. Growing up, I always looked forward to our beach vacations and spending time with your dad and mom. Over the years there have been many happy memories of our families together, having cocktails, laughs and rounds of golf. Love and hugs to you all and your families.
