Pat and family, I’m sorry for your loss Rita will be sadly missed. She was always a fun loving person I will always remember her laugh and sense of humor and numerous times (to many to count) how her and my mom met. She was my mom’s best friend. I am so happy that I had the privilege to know her.

Hello Patrick and Family.
We were so sad to learn of Rita’s passing.  Rita was one of kind. She took care of Megan and Kate with so much love and care that she felt like a Grandma to our girls. We had so many fun times with your family. I remember a Christmas Eve with more food than I have ever seen.  And picnics at the cabin.
Rita was always laughing. She was funny, optimistic, thoughtful, silly, kind and loving.  And I know how very much she loved all of you. We send our love, our prayers, and our thanks.  We are lucky to have known the radiant Rita.
"Rita mosquita" as Megan used to say.
with love,

(Old friends, hope to see you soon.)

To add on to what my mom, Kathleen, said I will never forget how fun Rita was as a babysitter.  I remember thinking how huge the house was, and how steep those stairs seemed!  And I think I always came home with grass-stains from the hill across the street.  I still call medicine "medicina."  She will be missed, but never forgotten.
Warmest regards,
Megan Elston
