Richard C. Bauder, 88, of Millersville, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior on March 6, 2024.

Born in Center Valley, PA, he was the son of the late Robert W. and Eva E. (Yeakel) Bauder. He was the husband of Elizabeth F. Bauder and they were married for 65 years.

Richard was a brilliant engineer having received several U.S. patents while working for RCA & Thompson Electronics Corp. He was a graduate of Muhlenberg where he earned his degree in Physics and Penn State where he earned his degree in Engineering Science. He was also a member of Calvary Church. He enjoyed teaching Sunday school and working with Boys Brigade. He will be remembered for his Christian faith. He was an expert wood-worker, farmer, and outdoorsman. He was a devoted father and a dedicated family man.

Richard is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Bauder; his children, Douglas Bauder, Rebecca Young, Janet Thiessen, Carol Stutzman, and Daniel Bauder; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Doris Bauder; and brother, Roland Bauder.

Friends and family will be received from 1PM to 2PM on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. George Street, Millersville, PA 17551. A memorial service will follow beginning at 2PM. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Richard’s name to the mission’s fund at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Rd., Lancaster, PA 17601.
