Richard A. Paquin, 73

Richard A. Paquin, 73, passed away surrounded by his loving family at his East Lampeter Twp. home on Thursday, September 28, 2017. Born in Pawtucket, RI, he was the son of the late Louis and Jeanette Bergeron Paquin. Richard was proceeded in death by his wife of 49 years, Susan Blackwood Paquin.
A veteran of the US Air Force during the Vietnam War, Richard served as an air traffic controller in Metz, France. Following his military service, Richard continued as an air traffic controller for the FAA at Kennedy International Airport, NY, Morgantown, WV, Capital City Airport Harrisburg, PA and Williamsport Regional Airport, Williamsport, PA.
He was an avid lover of airplanes, photographing and building detailed models of them. He learned woodworking at an early age and enjoyed building many things, especially making furniture.
Richard is survived by two sons, Joseph Paquin, husband of Christina of Lancaster and Edward Paquin, husband of Christine of Philadelphia; three grandchildren, Allison, Rebecca and Raegan; and his brothers Ronald “Roni” Paquin, husband of Karen of Charles City, IA and Raymond “Ray” Paquin of Spring Hill, FL as well as several nieces and nephews.
Private Services and inurnment with Military Honors will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Dr., Lancaster, PA 17603.
