Richard A. Binkley, Jr., 58
Richard A. Binkley Jr, 58, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, October 7th, 2008 at the Veteran Administration Hospital in Lebanon. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Miriam D. (Younger) Binkley of Conestoga and the late Richard A. Binkley Sr.
Mr. Binkley was a self employed Construction Foreman. He served his country in the Army in Vietnam, 101st Airborne as a Helicopter Pilot and member of the National Guard Association. Rick was a volunteer for Hospice.
Surviving besides his mother are his sons, Richard A. Binkley III of Los Angeles CA and Michael R. Binkley of Lancaster, one sister, Susan D. Barley of Conestoga, one brother, Mark A. Binkley of Lancaster, several nieces and nephews. Rick is preceded in death a brother, Elmer E. Binkley.
Graveside services will be held at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery 435 Manor Ave, Millersville, PA 17551 on Monday, October 13th, 2008 at 1PM. Contributions may be made in Rick’s memory to Hospice of Lancaster County 685 Good Drive, Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604. Arrangements by the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home Inc, Millersville 872-5041. I knew Dick from his years bowling at Rocky Springs Lanes. Dick was a great guy – always smiling. He was a pleasure to know.
