Reda P. (Blough) Thomas, 85
May 05, 2024
Reda P. (Blough) Thomas, 85 of Lititz passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Neffsville Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was the daughter of the late Mary (Gindlesperger) and Freeman Blough. She was the beloved wife to Glenn Thomas, Jr. with whom she celebrated over 64 yeas of marriage.
Reda P. Thomas lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. From her days at Conemaugh Township High School to her 31-year career at Sears Roebuck, she left an indelible mark on those around her. Reda’s hobbies, including trips to the mountains, visits to hunting camp, and watching hummingbirds and bears, showcased her love for nature and the simple pleasures of life. Her passion for playing Pinochle with her Sears coworkers at the Knights of Columbus highlighted her sociable nature and love for friendly competition.
But perhaps Reda’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, whom she delighted in baking with. Her famous “Nanny Cookies” surely brought smiles to many faces and will be a cherished memory for years to come.
Reda’s involvement in the Golden Needles at Lititz Church of the Brethren and the Builders Sunday School Class spoke to her commitment to community and faith. Her passing leaves a void in the lives of her husband, Glenn, her children Kevin husband of Audrey of Camp Hill and Diane Winger wife of Donald of Stevens, her grandchildren: Megan, Ryan, Abagail, and Amy, as well as her extended family of nieces and nephews. She was welcomed to heaven by her siblings: John Blough, Betty Hoffman and Freeman Blough, Jr.
In honor of her memory, contributions may be made to Lititz Church of the Brethren.
A memorial service will be held at 12PM on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Lititz Church of the Brethren, 300 West Orange Street, Lititz, PA 17543, providing an opportunity for family and friends to come together to celebrate Reda’s life and legacy. Family and friends will be received from 11AM until the time of service.
Though she is no longer with us, Reda’s spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Reda was a stellar associate at Sears. When I was there in the 90’s, she did the work of three people as the display Manager. Sorry I won’t be able to make the service but I am sending my deepest condolences to the family.
