Mr. Weaver was my favorite teacher at Penn Manor. I had him as a history teacher, in 8th, and I believe, 11th grades. A group of girls would often hang around his classroom after school; where he spoke of little Dana, as well as other topics. Because of him, I decided to pursue social studies in college. He was a great educator, (and could wield the paddle as well as anyone!) I want to extend my sympathy to your family; enjoy your good memories.

Bruce Weaver was my social studies teacher at Penn Manor. He introduced us to the wonders and complexities of our society and others around the globe. His substantial units on world religions helped prepare me for a life of inclusion and openness. A wonderful man who left his very positive mark on thousands of fortunate Penn Manor grads.

Mr. Weaver was my social studies teacher in 1972 at Penn Manor, I always enjoyed his class and found him very fascinating even though it wasn’t my favorite subject.

Dear Barb and Family:
I just read about Bruce in morning paper and wanted to send along my prayers to you and your family. Darrell passed away July 2008 – it was only seven and a half weeks from diagnosis to demise – it sounds like your situation might have been very fast also – not easy. I will be thinking about you.
