Peter Garner, 21

January 23, 2018

Peter Garner, cherished son and beloved brother, 21, found peace on January 23, 2018. Son of Sue and Dave Garner, Peter graduated Warwick High School in 2014 and went on to receive a degree in photography from the Antonelli Institute. Peter was a talented artist and loved to write, draw, paint, and photograph his friends.
Peter will be remembered for his adventurous spirit and his ability to make friends every where that he went. He traveled cross country from Pennsylvania to California and even adventured to Cuba. Peter spent a lot of time outdoors and used nature as his inspiration for photography and painting. His adventures led him to explore Acadia and Sequoia National Park and spend much time in Philly.
Peter was the epitome of someone who marched to the beat of his own drum and surrounded himself with friends who, much like himself, embraced their free spirits. Even though he was extremely outgoing and dearly loved his friends, Peter also cherished the moments where he could sit with a cup of coffee, people watch, and focus on his art.
Peter had a big heart and loved to help those in need. He was devoted to his friends and family. He was always there for his brothers, Colin and Eric, who consider Peter to be their best friend. Peter loved going on trips with his family to their cabin and to the “beach house”.
He is survived by his parents, Sue and Dave Garner, brothers, Colin and Eric Garner, grandparents D. Eugene Garner, Ellie Garner, and P. Markley “Mark” Heston, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by his grandmothers, the late Gayle Garner and Rachel Heston.
A viewing will be held Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory at 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 from 6PM to 8PM. Services will continue on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Grace Church in Lititz, located at 501 W Lincoln Ave, Lititz, PA 17543. Friends and family may call at the church from 10AM-12PM with services starting at 12PM. Interment at Witness Park will follow services. Guests are also invited to join friends and family for a luncheon at Grace Church following interment. In lieu of flowers, the family will be establishing a scholarship fund in remembrance of Peter. Please donate to the Peter Garner Scholarship Fund at Fulton Bank, Attention Paul Stetter, 1713 W. Main St, Ephrata, PA 17522.

My deepest condolences go out to the Garner Family.  It’s obvious that Peter was a special young man who brought a lot of joy and inspiration to the world.  I can tell by the way his father talked about him and by the words written to describe him he was deeply loved.  My family’s thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hi I’m KC”s mom Kaitlin Ross who loved sharing photography and life with Peter. She has experienced many losses over the past 3 months and couldn’t research or reach out when she heard of Peters. She shared with me the  connection they had with photography, togetherness in Lititiz and Phily. Shhe is also a free spirit and will miss him for all the adventures  they won’t get to have.  We are sorry for your  loss, the write up you have is a wonderful tribute. His passing is unfortunate and a loss for all who loved him. Mmy prayers and thoughts are with you all. Sincerely, Kathy Ross Lititz PA

To Sue, Dave, Colin, Eric, and family,
We are so very sorry over the loss of your dear Peter. Our deepest condolences go out to you all at this very sad time. We remember Peter fondly, years ago as part of the neighborhood kids running freely from yard to yard, from sandbox to swingset, just the way it should be. Peter was funny, charming, and mischievous. His extraordinary spirit will be greatly missed by all. May the love of your family surround you and give you strength and peace in the days ahead.
With heartfelt sympathy, the Hutchins family.

Dear Sue, Dave, Colin, and Eric,
We are so very saddened to learn of Peter’s death. He always seemed to be a boy who was a vibrant, yet gentle, soul. The memory that jumps to mind when thinking of Peter is of looking out of our front window and watching him fly by on his bike…doing a handstand on the handle bars! It seemed so fitting for his nature. He was such a unique individual, who apparently became a very talented young man. We wish peace to your family, and hope that in time you can find comfort in your memories.   Becki, Dennis, and Adam Ocker

January 26, 2018

Heart felt condolences to Peter’s family.

January 26, 2018

Sue, Dave, Colin, Eric & Family-
I am so very sorry.
I remember Peter as such a sweet curly headed little boy at John Beck Elementary and then as a dynamic, social young man in high school.  Just like his brothers, he was always pleasant and courteous.  I remember “mothering” him a bit in elementary school when I believe he was homesick as just a real little guy; and I won’t forget his first “locker bite” as a 9th grader in high school – he was so funny about it!
I am praying for him and for all of you.  Heaven has gained what the world will feel as a great loss.
