Paul L McMican, 93

Paul L McMican, 93, of Millersville, PA, formerly of Grand Junction, CO, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025. Born in Bedford, Iowa, he was the son of the late Nina (Higginson) and Claude F. McMican.
A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Paul served his country with honor from 1949 to 1955. Following his military service, he became the owner and operator of The Pub in Grand Junction, where he built a community around good company and great conversation. Later in life, he relocated to Lancaster, PA, where he continued to stay active, working part-time for Manheim Auto Auction for over 20 years.
Paul had a passion for life’s simple joys. He was an avid racing fan, especially drawn to the thrill of dirt track racing. He found peace in landscaping, took pleasure in long walks, and valued his connections with others. A devout member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, he also dedicated time to Millersville VFW Post 7294, honoring his bond with fellow veterans.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Osweiler) Benjamin; his children, Michael L. McMican (Julie), and Tracy Loftsgard (Mike). He also leaves behind his stepdaughter’s, Teresa Benjamin, Rita Beck (David Dreyer), Kathleen Langsett and stepson’s Herbert Benjamin and John Benjamin. In addition he will be greatly missed by many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, and stepdaughter Andrea Francos (William).
Paul will be laid to rest at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, where his legacy of service, family, and friendship will be forever remembered.

Paul was such a kind, caring friend and neighbor for many years. I will miss his sweet smiling face so much. Paul always made the world a better place. Sending much sympathy to Pat and their family.
