Patrick B. Czyzewski, 48

April 05, 2019

Patrick B. Czyzewski, 48, of Elizabeth Township, passed away at his home on Friday, April 5, 2019 after an 8 year battle with brain cancer. Born on December 14, 1970 in Wildwood, NJ, he was the son of Benjamin Czyzewski and the late Donna (Tantaros) Czyzewski, and the loving husband of Kelly P. (Ford) Czyzewski. Patrick spent the majority of his years in southern Florida before moving to Lancaster County in 2009 with his family.

Patrick was a member of Grace Church in Lititz where he played the drums in the worship band. He also enjoyed hunting for white tail deer with his crossbow and deep sea fishing on his boat. He could also be seen riding the back roads of Lancaster County on his Harley Davidson. Family was his first priority in life. He would always be the first one to support a family member and he specifically enjoyed his children’s sporting events.

In addition to his father and wife, Patrick is survived by his daughter, Persephone Czyzewski. Also surviving are three step-children, Emma, Emilio and Elijah Padulese; two brothers, Jeremy (Nicole) and Jamison (Varny) Czyzewski; two sisters, Fiona and Priscilla Czyzewski; step-mothers, Deborah Czyzewski and Carmencita Czyzewski; and numerous nieces and nephews. His faith and involvement in their lives will resonate for years to come.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service which will be held on Wednesday April 10, 2019, at 7 pm at Grace Church in Lititz, 501 W. Lincoln Ave, Lititz, PA 17543, where the family will receive guests beginning at 6:30 PM

I was heartbroken to hear of Patrick’s passing. It was always a joy to see him at the guild functions. I will never forget the humor and laughter that he brought.  Even though I didn’t know him very well, I will miss him. My condolences to his family.

Dear Kelly and Family,
My deepest sympathy to all of you in the loss of Patrick. He was such an inspiration to my Howie who lost his battle with Brain Cancer on 9 February. We were ever so grateful for the assistance Patrick gave us in getting Howie into Duke Cancer Center.         However, when you both came to the house and shared that his Cancer was progressing we were deeply saddened, as we knew the HELL we had been going through and knew that is where you guys were headed.         My ❤️ heart goes out to all of you at this most difficult time. However, you do have the peace knowing that he is in Heaven walking with his Lord and Savior and also visiting with Howie.                                            May you find comfort in the wonderful memories you all have.                            My prayers are with you all!
Hugs, Love and God Bless,                     Bonnie L. Eckhart 🙏✝️🙏

There are no words that can express my feelings about Patrick’s passing. I have been trying to find them since I heard the news. I am not sure that I will ever find them. Patrick was more than a friend to me; he was family. All of us in that south Florida crew feel this way. Patrick will be missed beyond measure by me and so many others. I am relieved that he is without pain, but my heart aches so deeply. What I know is that, in the years after his diagnosis, he was still the happiest he had ever been in his whole life. He was happy because he was right where he had always wanted to be. He loved his wife, daughter, and stepchildren with every fiber of his being. He was so PROUD of them. It radiated from him; his life had been transformed completely. Being surrounded by his father, brothers, and little sisters was the ultimate bonus to his dreams all coming true. This is what brings me the most peace in the midst of my sorrow. My deepest sympathies to his loved ones. My heart and love is with all of you at this time. XOXO

It is with my deepest sympathy that I send my condolences to the family of Patrick Czyzewski.  I met Patrick in his early 20’s and he and my daughter shared the same birth date, as well as a lifetime connection of love, respect & friendship.    Since those young years I have never seen Patrick again, but I mourn his loss along with my daughter and Patrick’s family and friends.    I will be keeping Kelly, Persephone, and all of Patrick’s beloved family members in my thoughts in the days ahead.    As you honor Patrick on Wednesday, please know that my heart mourns your loss.
