Patricia A. Coller, 85
September 17, 1940 - September 26, 2025
Patricia “Pat” A. Coller, 85, died peacefully in her sleep on September 26, 2025, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Born in Lancaster on September 17, 1940, she attended St Anthony Catholic School and graduated from Lancaster Catholic High School in 1958. She began her career as a lab technician at St. Joseph Hospital, then spent 22 years in the Product Styling and Design Department at Armstrong World Industries. After retiring from Armstrong, she worked as a constituent service assistant for Representative Mike Sturla and later as a receptionist for Mid-Atlantic Psychiatric Physicians.
A lifelong public servant, Pat volunteered tirelessly for the City of Lancaster. She served on numerous boards and commissions and was a Lancaster City Council member from 2008 to 2011. For 20 years she was an interpreter and tour guide for the Historic Lancaster Walking Tour, delighting in sharing the city’s distinctive architecture. She also worked closely with local neighborhood groups such as the Positive Image Action Group. A proud Democrat, Pat was an active committee person for many years. She was active in the Lancaster Downtowners organization and cherished the time spent with the “Bocce Babes.” Strolling through Lancaster with her meant constant greetings from the many people who knew and loved her.
Pat cherished her family above all. She was the devoted mother of Chris and the late Theresa Coller and especially proud of her grandsons, Sean and Ryan. Known as the “glue” of the family after her mother’s passing, Pat hosted large Thanksgiving gatherings, often welcoming friends and neighbors who needed a place to belong and a home cooked meal. She had a quick wit, a love of travel, and a fearless appetite for new adventures well into her seventies.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Marie Tolland Reusing and Albert M. Reusing; brothers Michael P., Albert M., and Vincent P. Reusing; and her beloved daughter, Theresa M. Coller.
She is survived by her son Chris Coller and his wife Teresa; grandsons Sean and Ryan Coller; brother Tim Reusing and his wife Emily; sisters-in-law Kathe Cotton Reusing, Pam Johnston Reusing, and Donna Reusing; and many cherished nieces and nephews across the country.

I met Pat when I was the Voluntee director at Lancaster Regional (St. Joe’s Hospital) There are not enough words to describe Pat! She was somone who always left her mark – if you met her you would nevere forget her. She was definetly one of a Kind. She gave 100% of herself volunteering at the hospital and in anything she did. May she rest in peace and my sympathy to her son & family. She sure will keep everyone laughing up in the heavens. I am so grateful that she touched my life.

Certain people have a special way of making the rest of us feel welcome, smile a little wider, and feel a lot happier…Pat was one of those people. Her smile, infectious laughter, genuine caring and concern, energy, enthusiasm, goodness and love gave her a special place in the hearts of so many people. Whether she was talking about flowers, architecture, new recipes, travel, or friends, she was always “bubbly” and enthusiatic. She always impressed us with her wonderful Christmas party drop-ins for coworkers…decorations and delicious food (especially her crab dip) were unbeatable. She is now a very bright star in Heaven, forever lighting the way for all of us. Thanks for sharing your life with us Pat. (Tim & Sharon Fickes)

Pat along with my uncle Chet brought me into the political arena to work in Mike Sturla campaign. She was more than a mentor she became a friend, a safe place and person to speak to, taught me the power of a hug and to dance to every song that touches my spirit. Here’s the dancing until my feet hurt Pat. 💜🙏🏽😔🌎🎶 Hilda “Tammy” Perez
