Patricia A. Betz, 81 of Lancaster passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late James L. Houser and the late Margaret (Sauer) Houser. She was married to the late George S. Betz who passed away in 1992.
She graduated from the Sacred Heart Academy in Lancaster and went on to work as a quality control inspector at Kerr Glass Co. for many years and also worked in the medical records department of Lancaster Regional Medical Center. Patricia was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan who loved watching football, playing bingo, going to the casinos to play the slot machines and traveling.
Patricia was of the Catholic faith.
She is survived by two sons, George F., husband of Cathleen of Landisville, and Stephan M., husband of Margaret of Lancaster; two daughters, Margaret E., wife of Leroy Emel of Millersville, and Barbara E., wife of Michael Rock of Lancaster; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James and George Houser and a sister, Barbara Key.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17603 with Rev. Mark E. Weiss as Celebrant. A viewing will be held from 6-8PM on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. George St, Millersville, PA 17551. Entombment in St. Joseph’s New Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.
