Pamela “Pam” Strawser, 61
May 30, 2019
Pamela “Pam” Strawser, 61, of Lancaster, ended her long battle with cancer on May 30, 2019 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Ephrata, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Kathryn (Lazer) Greenly and the beloved wife of Brian Strawser.
A graduate of Ephrata High School, class of 1976, Pam had many titles – loving wife, mother, and friend. Many knew her as “Pampered Pam”, a name she received for her love and talent in selling for Pampered Chef. Pam had a magnetic personality and was able to make friends with a room full of strangers. Hospitable and kind, Pam would go out of her way to make someone feel as if they were at home when they were with her. Pam loved giving special gifts and making your favorite meals when you were over. She always put others before herself and was a fierce ally when you needed her.
Pam was passionate about many things; tasty treats, Bon Jovi, and Philadelphia sports – especially the Eagles. She never missed a game and was a die-hard fan until the end. She enjoyed reading the newspaper, watching fireworks at Longs Park, and going all out for holidays. More than anything, Pam was passionate about her family. She loved her husband, children, and grandchildren dearly. She always made sure that they knew how special they were to her and how much she loved them. Going on ice cream dates to Sweet Frog with her grandchildren was her favorite treat.
Pam will be remembered for her loud laugh, passion, generosity, and strength. She will be dearly missed by her husband of almost ten years, Brian Strawser, her children Shane Mentzer, Brandon Mentzer, and Callie Stewart, and her grandchildren; Lillie, Charlotte, Kason, and Kendall.
A casual Celebration of Life Gathering will be Saturday, June 15, 2019 starting at 6:00pm at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home at 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. The Celebration of Life will begin at 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to American Cancer Society – Lancaster at 314 Good Dr. Lancaster, Pennsylvania 17603 or at cancer.org.

This obituary is the most honest, true and compassionate words I’ve ever read. Pam was all these things and so much more! She was one of the first friends I made when my family & I moved to Ephrata. Her love of Philly sport teams cemented the friendship. She opened her heart & her home to my children, who became friends with her daughter, Callie. I wish there were more people like Pam. She will be missed. I wish peace & strength to her family during this emotional time.
Love you Pam!!
