Nancy Suzanne “Sue” Yarnall, 83
October 03, 2025
Nancy Suzanne “Sue” Yarnall met Jesus face to face on October 3, 2025. She lived a life of love, devotion and service to her Savior who welcomed her home with open arms.
Sue was born in 1942 in Altoona, PA. Her parents were Ray and Jane Mackey, her younger siblings are Deborah Bennett (Ocala, FL) and Richard Mackey (Altoona, PA). She moved to Philadelphia after graduating from Altoona High School for work but more importantly, met the love of her life, Wayne Yarnall, at a church there. They were married in August 1962 and recently celebrated 63 years of marriage. Sue and Wayne raised two daughters, Linda, wife of Bruce Sellers (Lancaster, PA) and Kim Love (Harvey’s Lake, PA). Sue loved her granddaughters, Kayleigh and Mackenzie, her grand-son-in-law, Jared, and was greeted in heaven by grandson, Brayden. She received news one week before her death that she and Wayne would be great-grandparents early next year.
Sue attended Philadelphia College of the Bible (now Cairn University) and graduated from Transylvania Bible College. Through the years she had been Chairman and Area Representative for Christian Women’s Club, Wilkes-Barre, and Scranton; Director of Women’s Ministries in the Primitive Methodist and Evangelical Congregational denominations; and served as the Administrative Assistant for World Gospel Mission’s Northeast Office. Her passion was for women, especially, to know Jesus as their personal Savior and for them to grow in their faith. She loved planning, organizing, and hosting women’s retreats and Bible studies for that purpose. She and Wayne were partners in pastoral ministry with the Primitive Methodist and Evangelical Congregational denominations for over 50 years. She was a true helpmate to him and a blessing to all she served.
Through the years she enjoyed spending time with her family, grandkids and friends, was an avid reader, decorated cakes, sang with various choirs including the Lebanon Senior choir and the Mount Gretna Mass Choir, volunteered at Good Samaritan’s Lebanon Hospital OPRC and participated in various church activities and committees. She had a beautiful smile and spirit that showed the love of Christ in all she did. She would want you to know of Jesus’ love and great gift of salvation.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, 322 Hershey Avenue, Lancaster, PA. Visitation with the family will be from Noon to 1:00 pm followed by the service

Condolences to the Family
October 11, 2025
Sue-you were one of the Lord’s choice saints. You lived your life to the glory and praise of our wonderful, matchless Savior, Jesus Christ. Although I am very saddened at your passing from this earth how glad to realize your are home in heaven. Your physical trials and pain are now gone and you have a new glorified body. Can’t even begin to imagine the scene when you were met by the Lord with these words: “Well done good and faithful servant, enter now into the joy of the Lord.” It was such a priviledge to know you these past three years. To your beloved husband, Pastor Wayne, son-in-law Pastor Bruce Sellers and your two wonderful daughters, Linda and Kim, I send my heartfelt condolences to you all and the entire family. On Saturday, October 25th I look forward to celebrating your life of service and love for the Lord. Thank-you from the depths of my heart for being a sister in Christ.
