Michael D. “Mike” Leeking, 80

Michael D. “Mike” Leeking, 80, of Lititz, passed away peacefully at Lancaster General Hospital on August 19, 2024. Born in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of the late Edwin and Kathryn (Brendle) Leeking.

Mike was a 1962 graduate of Warwick High School, and was a proud veteran of the US Army. He worked as a welder foreman for the Plumbers & Steam Fitters Local Union 520, as well as all over the United States. He had a passion for Harley Davidson, being in the outdoors and especially his cabin in Potter Co., hunting, wrestling, football, and cars. Mike was also the past president of his union for 1 term.

Mike is survived by his son, Jon Leeking, his brother, Dennis Leeking (Dianne), his sister-in-law, Linda Leeking, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Donald and Jeffrey Leeking.

Mike’s family will receive guests from 1-2 PM on Monday, August 26, 2024, at Spacht-Snyder Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 127 S. Broad St, Lititz, PA 17543. Interment will be private.

Mike had his barn and rentals near our home at Traditions in Lititz. We kinda struck up a conversation one time as I walked my dog and it continued. He was a good guy and he loved my dog Hank. He will be missed.

Our deepest condolences to the Leeking family  on their loss. Hope the days ahead provide some comfort. Uncle Mike is at peace now. Probably hanging out in the woods hunting again. Rest in peace, Uncle Mike.
