Mary Louise Baker, 87

Mary Louise Baker, age 87 died peacefully on December 31, 2025 at Landis Homes a Continuing Care Community, Lititz, PA.
Mary Lou was born in Allentown, PA on August 26, 1938 to the late Raymond J. Manlin and Rose T. (Hacker) Manlin and was the wife of Edwin J. Baker, with whom she celebrated 45 years of marriage last August. There was never a more devoted couple to each other.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, James J. Rostosky, Seattle, WA, and with his wife Martina a grandson Logan Rostosky and granddaughter Amelea Rostosky also daughter, Roseann Burk York, PA. One grandson Connor Brown and one granddaughter Morgan Brown also by 3 step-sons, Barry E, Los Angeles, CA; Farley S. Scarsdale, NY; and Dean R, Mechanicsburg, PA. She is also survived by multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A brother, Robert W. Manlin, preceded her in death.
Mary Lou graduated from Allentown High School in 1956 followed by credits received from various educational centers. At the age of nine she discovered the joy of a life time of singing. The Lord blessed her with an exceptional voice which she used to the fullest in Northeast choirs, chorus and even a national chorus. Thru her steady church attendance, she formed the foundation of the deep and steady faith that guided her throughout life. Mary Lou with a high intelligence served as an executive secretary for many top executives over her career.
Mary Lou and her husband Ed spent 13 years of their retirement in Ocala, FL, playing golf and socializing before returning to PA in 2014.
She will be laid to eternal rest beside her husband upon his calling in the Graysville Cemetery behind the Upper Spruce Creek Presbyterian Church in the small village of Graysville, PA, just west of State College. A memorial will be held later in the West Bethany Chapel, Landis Homes, Lititz, PA.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Healthcare Center for their exceptional and loving care over the past years. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary Lou’s memory may be made to the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Sanctuary Choir, 2151 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.
