Condolences to the Family
Cousins Shirley & Walt: This AM I attended with some 60 friends the Mass celebrating the life of your cousin, Mary Ann. The music, Fr. Mitzel’s homily, Sr. Loretta’s comments and presence of so many who were effected by her celebrated her life she shared with others. My friend Sue recalled Mary Ann taking a small group of teens to Appalachia, Kentucky in the 60’s for two weeks to work among the families.I worked with her at St. Anne’s,Lancaster with our CCD programs in the 70’s. She had a beautiful caring spirit about her. Her life was celebrated today. To you her cousins we offer our sympathy. Mary Ann and you are in our prayers.
Friends,

It was a privilege to have been a student of Miss Meyers, who taught English at LCHS in the 1970’s. I have thought about her so often, and appreciated my life-long love of literature, due in large measure to her inspiration. I also very much enjoyed her witty sense of humor. Her place in the world is now a void no one can fill. Thank you, Miss Meyers.

Mary Ann you were more then just a friend of mine in the 70s and the early 80s you were a big sister to me and a mentor. I will never forget what you taught me and how you helped me out when my brother died in 1975. I will love you always. Heaven has gained a wonderful person and the world has lost one. RIP…
