Mary A. Pichler, 95

Mary A. Pichler, 95, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Lancaster General Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Peter P. Pichler, who passed away in 1978, and the late Bruce Reitzel, who passed away in 1985. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Alois and Mary Klingseisen Getz.
Mary had retired from the Lancaster Day Care Center. She had previously worked in assembly and shipping at KD Tool Company. She also had volunteered for many years at the former St. Joseph Hospital.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she served with the Legion of Mary and the Altar Rosary Society. She had been a member of the Sacred Heart Seniors Organization, the St. Joseph Golden Hills Club, the Happy Hours Club, and was a member of the Knight of Columbus Council 867 Ladies Auxiliary.
Mary had also been a member at Lancaster Liederkranz, where she was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughter, Arlene Scheingraber of Lancaster, her 3 grandchildren:Karen Scheingraber, Tammy Haldeman, and Stacie Miller; and by her 7 great grandchildren: Amanda, Ryann, Tim, Courtney, Evan, Hailey and Sara. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert L. Reitzel, and her sisters, Freda Richard and Lena Miller.
Friends will be received on Monday, April 27, 2015 from 6-8PM at the Charles F. Snyder Jr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, with a Christian Prayer Service at 7:30PM. Friends may call again on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 St. Joseph St., Lancaster, PA 17603 from 10-11AM, with the Mass to follow at 11AM. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Mary’s memory to the St. Joseph Catholic Church Restoration Fund at the above address.
