The passing of both Marvin and Marian sadden the writer.  My first encounter with Marv happened shortly after they moved to PA when I engaged him as an employee of my tax preparation business.  As the  former owner of a tax business in Washington, his knowledge as an Enrolled Agent and his  personality made an immeasureable contribution to my business.  He befriended many and as late as this past tax season a client inquired of Marv. 
It was my good fortune to have known both Marv and Marian.  Marv’s favorite line when asked if he was doing ok was -” So far so good!”  Too bad he could not have issued that statement in recent times.  May both he and Marian rest in peace.  Bob Peifer
