Mario J. Bongiovanni, 94
April 30, 2023
Mario Joseph Bongiovanni, 94, of Lititz, PA died on Sunday, April 30, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Englewood and raised in Deepwater, NJ, he was the son of Joseph and Giovanna (Braggio) Bongiovanni.
He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Oklahoma and later served our country in the United States Navy and Naval Reserves. Mario spent his career in Mechanical Engineering working for GE and Westinghouse and ultimately as the owner of United Roll Form Company, based in Norristown, PA. When he was not running his business, he was most happy being with his family. He celebrated 48 years of marriage to his adoring wife, Rosario, and was the proud father of Alice (Wesley) Easly of Pittsburgh and Michael (Courtney) of Ephrata. He also leaves behind grandchildren; H. Tucker, Giovanna, and Luciana, all of Pittsburgh. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary (Joe) Perrone and John (Maude) Bongiovanni.
Mario was a quiet, yet consistent and reliable figure within the extended Bongiovanni family. Nothing gave him greater pride than seeing his family happy and the part he played in their successes, especially his nieces and nephews. Likewise, he enjoyed restoring his 1958 Austin Healey, flying his Piper J3 or simply reading in his favorite chair.
Friends will be received by Mario’s family on Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 9:30-11AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 51 Broad St., Woodstown, NJ, with the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11AM. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contributions in Mario’s memory to Sisters of The Immaculate Heart of Mary, Office of Mission Advancement, 230 IHM Drive, Malvern, PA 19355 (payable to Sisters of IHM).

Courtney and Mike, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I didn’t know him but I know Courtney and she loved her father-in-law so he surely was a good man. He rightfully earned his angel wings. He is at peace. Prayers for the family
