I met Marilyn only once in my life last April Her and her daughter , Marilyn helped sell my parents home after they passed. My parents were from the same generation, tough cookies! She walked through my parents home while it was still furnished. She didnt want to leave. She walked room to room and was in her own wheelhouse. While young Marilyn was upstairs evaluating, Marilyn and I sat in the living room. Her phone kept continously dinging with notifications. I couldnt help but to smile. I said, my Lord youre popular. She said, Chris, I wake up to 100 emails in the first hour! Then she went back to how wonderful my parents house and the decor. Marilyn brought warmth to my heart on her compliments about my parents home, Losing both your parents who lived at home til their late 80s is the only downfall of being blessed in that situation, but having Marilyn around me for an hour or so in my life made me smile and Im sure my parents as well. Rest in Peace to one of the queens of Real estate industry of Lancaster PA along with Rose Slaugh. My condolences to Marilyn and her family.

I had the pleasure of working with Marilyn and team in the mid 90s while at 50 E New Street. She was dynamic and brilliant with extensive knowledge of the business and tireless energy. At the time she used a legal pad filled with names, addresses and phone numbers of contacts from many years. She was able to find the right home for each family she worked with. She was adored and respected by everyone and they all became part of her “Berger family”. My daughter Suzanne and I will always have fond memories of being with her. I’ll never forget our Fridays “end of day”. May she be at peace with her true love Larry.

We were fortunate to meet Marilyn in 2004 as we were relocating from Atlanta to Lancaster County. She provided a Chamber of Commerce welcome as we searched for our new home in Lititz. The parties she hosted at her home were wonderful and truly represented her joy and zest for life. Marilyn sent her energy through prayer to us when we were faced with medical challenges and was by our side as we sold our home to retire to Florida in 2013. She truly epitomized the best in everything she did and we were blessed to know her. To her family and many friends, may your heart’s memory of Marilyn always make you smile.

My Deepest Sympathy to Danny, Marylynn and all. Mrs. Berger was a CLASS ACT all the way. I actually painted the exterior of Lime Street Office back in my Stan Caterbone Painting and Renovating during College at Millersville. Then Danny worked with me at Financial Management Group, Ltd., in 1986 to 1987. Now, me, Danny and Scott Robertson were financing commercial real estate and Danny was younger than both of us. But, Danny NEW THE BUSINESS LIKE HE WAS IN HIS 60’s. We were a Force to Reckon With. All a tribute to learning from him Mom. Wish I could make the services, however, Only Public Transporation at this time. Now, remember I went to High School with Teresea, and I’ve known Judge Stengel since High School.

Marilyn was such an inspirational woman. She had a “can-do” mentality, even in the midst of her health challenges. Her home was full of beauty and light, a reflection of the nature of her spirit. She was the most generous person, and opened her home and her table to anyone. She knew how to network and provide resources for anyone on short notice. She was sharp, and could pull information off the top of her head without hesitation even up to the end. She had much more she aspired to do. I had the privilege of knowing her for five years as one of her caregivers, to help her behind the scenes so she could continue in her successes. I loved living a portion of my time in her circles of family, business, and friends. Thank you, Berger family, for making me feel like family! I pray for you all in this season of release. Her last words to me, with a smile, were, “God has been so good to me.” I will always cherish her and the memories she leaves with me. Love, Joanne Geib

Marilyn Rose, Larry and family—our little dynamo is moving on, and we are left with the most wonderful memories. Dozens of times, I would see Marilyn at Bent Creek, entertaining new arrivals to the community, and she would be certain to introduce them to all of us who were dining there. What an ambassador for Lancaster County! I’ve admired her for many years, been delighted to be a guest at her parties, and thank her for playing a role in finding my home.
