Marilyn Helen Small, 89, of Lititz, PA, passed away on January 8, 2026 at Luther Acres in Lititz, PA. Born on November 25, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Emily Janiesch. Marilyn was the beloved wife to John Bingle Small.

Marilyn was a longtime member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, New Hyde Park, NY where she was very active in the church choir. She was very proud of her German Heritage. She enjoyed singing in several German choirs and was a member of a German dancing group. Marilyn collected many M.I. Hummel figurines and was President of her local M.I. Hummel club chapter. She also enjoyed sewing, cross stitching, needlepoint, calligraphy writing and making greeting cards. Marilyn was also a member of the North Shore Hills Garden Club.

In addition to her husband, John, Marilyn is survived by a daughter, Beverly Spadaro, wife of Christopher; two grandsons: Daniel Spadaro and Thomas Spadaro, husband of Casey; and two great-grandsons: Cooper and Teddy.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her siblings: Emily Lethbridge and Henry Janiesch.

A viewing will take place from 5-7 PM with a Funeral Service to begin at 7 PM officiated by Rev. Robert Wallace on Monday, January 12, 2026 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, NY.
