Margaret R. Denlinger, 99

Margaret R. Denlinger, 99, formerly of 1612 Oak Lane, Lancaster, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2011, at Luther Acres Manor. Her husband of 73 years, J. Lester “Les” Denlinger, died October 31, 2010.

Born in Blandburg, Cambria County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Amos C. and Roberta McCoy Stouffer.  Margaret was a loving homemaker. She previously worked for Mary Sachs Clothier in Lancaster and then for Armstrong Cork Co. advertising department, where she was the featured Quaker Girl for Armstrong’s Quaker Floor Coverings. Margaret was a life member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Paradise.

A kind and gentle person Margaret had but one priority in life, her family. She was dedicated to the strong belief that  “you will never know what it’s like to be a mother” and what a good mother she was.

Margaret is survived by two sons, Robert L., husband of Joanne Denlinger, Lititz, and Richard C., husband of Nannette S. Denlinger, Lancaster; two granddaughters, Jill D. wife of Dennis Millhouse, Lititz, and Cherie May, Lancaster; and two great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Henry C. and Clifton C. Stouffer.

A private funeral service will be held for the immediate family. Please omit flowers. Margaret was a dear, sweet neighbor, and we’ll never forget her or Les.  We’ll miss her phone calls, and our visits with her.  She had a beautiful smile, and a very loving nature.  May God comfort you in this difficult time, and may you sense His peace and His presence.

With Love and Prayers,
The Sensenigs
