Condolences to the Family

August 13, 2013

Dear Frank and Tony,
I’m sorry my condolences to you is late.  Hate to say this but I miss placed your moms obit.  I don’t know if you will remember me but my name is Patty Border. Your parents were good friends with my Dad for years. His name was Gerald (Jerry) Border. I was about 5 years of age the first time my Dad took me along to your Moms diner, ” Marys Cozy Corner”. I met her and her sister named Honey, or nick named that. I remember how pretty they both were.  Another rememberence was when your parents visited us at our home, located at 408 N. Water St. It was around Christmas time because I remember serving my Moms favorite sugar cookies. Your Dad really liked them. Last but not least, I remember sitting in the back seat with my brother Jerry and you two. You guys were a lot older then us. Dad stopped the car in front of some jewelry store, your Mom and my Dad got out of the car and went in, the 4 of us sat in the back seat. Dad put a necklace around your Moms neck and she hugged him after that. Years later I asked Dad about that and he told me that your Dad bought your Mom this necklace and as a favor, asked my Dad to take her down and give it to her as a surprise. Boy was she surprised. Your Mom was such a lovely lady, so gracious and loving. I do remember that much. If my Dad was here he would have been there to give his condolences to you both. He passed  in Augast of 2000. He was only 68 yrs of age. If you would like to contact me you can reach me at 717 392-1762 or facebook under Pat Border.  If I can remember correctly, you guys are in your 60’s by now. I turned 58 in July of this year. If it makes you both feel any better, I believe your parents are together sharing the love they had for each up in Heaven as they once did here on Earth. Take care Frank and Tony. May God bless you both.

Dearest Tony, Frank and family. So sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. She was the light of my life while at St. Annes. She was like a mother to me and the nicest, most loving, patient and giving person. She never stopped telling Karen and me about the grandchildren and you boys.  Heaven just got another Angel and there will be many children there that will also be calling her grandma. Peace and dearest sympathy to you all. And Margaret , I’ ll be seeing you. Save me a spot at your table. Love and miss you.

To the family of Mary Cicero:  My relationship goes WAY back to the late ’60’s.  I worked with your mother for Dr. Winters.  I was his nurse and she and I had many hours of pleasure working together.  She was always so pleasant and encouraging and I loved her dearly.  Blessings to you and cherish the memories.  Love and Prayers:  Crete Esh
