Lucy B. Zook, 100

Lucy B. Zook, 100, formerly of Lititz, died Thursday, 10/29/2015, at StoneRidge Retirement Living, Towne Centre, Myerstown. She was born in Schaefferstown to the late Norman Biemesderfer and Hattie (Hickernell) Biemesderfer Ruth. Lucy was also preceded in death by her husband Jacob L. Zook and her daughter Lenore Kofroth.
A homemaker, she was a member of St. Paul’s U.C.C. in Schaefferstown. Lucy is survived by her son Frederick Zook, husband of Faye of Newmanstown, 4 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren and her sister Grace Moyer of Womelsforf.
A viewing will take place 10 to 11 am, followed by the funeral at 11 am with Rev. John P. Phillipi officiating, on Tuesday, 11/3/2015, at the Spacht-Snyder Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 127 S. Broad St., Lititz, PA 17543. Private interment in Middle Creek Cemetery.

I have many fond memories of my visits to Zook’s Mill back in the 1950s and early 60s. I often visited with John and Kathryn Zook Groff on Sunday afternoons. I remember Lucy very well. I remember Jacob, Lenore and Fred also. Lucy was a very sweet and had a great smile. She was always very kind and welcoming. My sincere condolences to Lucy’s family.
