Lois Chambers, 91

Lois Chambers, 91, native of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025.
Lois was the daughter of the late Clyde Herr and Celia Herr. She was a graduate of East Lampeter High School. A talented artist, she worked as a graphic designer for approximately 30 years at Armstrong in the marketing department before retiring.

Lois was a longtime and active member of Bird-in-Hand United Methodist Church, where she was involved in a women’s group and formed many lasting friendships. She was also a member of a women’s bowling league at Rocky Springs. She loved working with crafts, especially knitting and crocheting. And her dogs were her beloved companions.

She is survived by her niece and nephews: L. Ronald Herr; Patricia Morrison, wife of Al; Thomas Herr, husband of Cindy; and their families. In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her brother, Luther Herr, and her sister, Dorothy Herr, and her niece, Marcia (Robert) Brackbill.

A graveside service for Lois Chambers will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 1:00 PM at St. John’s United Methodist Church Cemetery, 3001 Lincoln Highway East, Paradise, PA 17562.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Lois’s memory to Bird-in-Hand United Methodist Church or the Lancaster Humane Society.
