I was sad to read about Linda’s passing. My name is Phil Kresge, from the band, The Cheeze Brothers, and she used to come see us regularly when we played in some of the local clubs. I also bought her mother’s 1988 Lincoln Town Car from her for my children to drive when they were in high school. Speaking of driving, I also gave Linda driving lessons, and she was by far, the most challenging driving student I ever had! I used to take her to the McCaskey parking lot on Sunday mornings for practice and lessons. For the longest time she would simply stop the car and just giggle and laugh after making any turn, good or bad. I really wasn’t sure she would ever pass the driving test, but she finally decided she was ready to give it a try. I took her for the test and watched as she attempted the parallel parking section, not so good. Then they took off for the trip around the block for the on-the-road part, I had my fingers crossed, but I was not very optimistic. They pulled back into the parking lot in a few minutes and stopped, I was sure the examiner was giving her the bad news, when she suddenly shrieked so loud I could hear her and was trying to hug the examiner, they were giving her a driver’s license! She was so happy and very proud, but she told on the way home that she told the examiner that she only wanted a license to drive a few blocks to the store and church so she thought he may have felt some compasion for her! I’m sorry I could not attend her service. Linda was a very kind and loving person, I’m sure everyone who knew her will miss her! Phil Kresge
