I have enjoyed being with Leona at my parents home Robert & Lottie Wray where she spent many hours on leave. She and my mother would sew for hours. I remember helping my mother send 2 lb. boxes to Leona which always had to have M & M, dried fruit, empty medicine bottles and many more things that the ladies of East End Church would gather for her. She enjoyed going to Glendale camping in the summer with my parents.
Leona was always happy and willing to help anyway she could. It seemed I always seemed to move when she was home on leave and she was always right their helping in fact she always laughed about it.
She will always be in my heart and in God’s hand. She was a blessing to know and will be missed by all that loved her!
