Leocadia “Lee” M. Consylman, 91
Leocadia “Lee” M. Consylman, 91, of 311 Camargo Rd., Quarryville, passed away on Wednesday evening at Lancaster General Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Harold C. Consylman who passed away in 1995. She had also been married to the late Harry J. Shaw, who passed away in 1961.
Lee had worked for 10 years as a switchboard operator at Millersville University until retiring in 1982.
She was an active member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Quarryville.
Lee was very active with the Boy Scouts of America for over 50 years, where she received numerous awards, most prominently the Silver Beaver Award for exemplary service to the Boy Scouts. She was also a charter member of the Herb Guild of Lancaster.
She is survived by her sons: James H. Shaw of California, Stephen J. Shaw of Lampeter, and Robert S. married to Nadine Shaw of Millersville; her daughter Joanne R. married to Samuel Ruffing of Quarryville; her stepdaughter Donna Whiskeyman of Lancaster and her stepson Harold C. Consylman Jr of Lancaster. Lee is also survived by her 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Monday from 11-11:30AM at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, 955 Robert Fulton Hwy., Quarryville, PA 17566, with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:30AM, the Rev Ronald J. Moratelli as Celebrant. Interment in St Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Lee’s memory to the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Hwy East.
