On January 3, I lost Larry, my brother-in-law and best friend. I feel blessed to have had his friendship and a close relationship with his beautiful family. For the past few days, I have been recalling all the fun times Larry and I had while attending our sons’ baseball and football games. Larry also introduced me to rail trails, and we began to ride our bikes all over the trails in Pennsylvania. Because Larry was a railroad enthusiast, he shared with me his knowledge of the structure and operation of steam locomotives. We chased those locomotives, taking photos and sometimes rides.
About 20 years ago, the Owens, Cox and Mathues families began taking trips to explore portions of the United States. The six of us—Larry, Cindy, Bill, Rosemary, Kathy and I—have wonderful memories of our vacations together.
Now Larry has gone to his heavenly home. I will forever be thankful to God for the blessing of his friendship.

Larry was my cousin, but we never really knew each other. My parents were Ike & Bessie. But I am sorry for your loss. He sounded like an extraordinary man. My thoughts and prayers are with your family!
