Landis E. Hornberger, 82
August 29, 1936 - July 31, 2019
Landis E. “Bud” Hornberger, 82, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy, following a brief illness. Born in Ephrata, Bud was the son of the late Albert A. and Lizzie G. (Landis) Hornberger. He was the loving husband of Lisa J. (Barr) Hornberger.
Bud worked for Turkey Hill for over 41 years as an ice cream delivery driver. He was a longtime member of the Ephrata Church of the Brethren. In his younger years he enjoyed roller skating. He also enjoyed working as a volunteer for Brethren Village for twelve years.
In addition to his wife, Lisa, he is survived by his children: Cindy Shea, wife of Gary, of McKinney, TX, Sharon High, of Harrisburg, Roger Hornberger, husband of Cathy, of Raleigh, NC, and Linda Hildebrand, of Manchester; his step-daughter, Danielle (Wells) Kenderdine, wife of Caleb, of New Holland; brother, John David Hornberger, husband of Doris, of Brethren Village; and grandchildren: Karen Hornberger, of St. Mary’s, GA, Kim Hornberger, of Winston-Salem, NC, Alishia Hildebrand, of York, Chad Hildebrand, of Philadelphia, Brandi High, of Elizabethtown, Amy Logan, of Lebanon, Austin High, of Elizabethtown, and Brianna Andes, of Philadelphia. He is preceded in death by his siblings: Beulah Bietzel and Albert Hornberger.
Memorial services for Bud will be held at 10AM, Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Bible Baptist Church of Leola, 12 W. Main St., Leola, PA 17540 with Pastor Alan Gardner and Mr. Caleb Kenderdine officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions in Bud’s name may be made to Hospice & Community Care, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Bud was an a great and amazing person. We enjoyed visiting with him and seeing him at shows. Praying with Him and Lisa. He will truly be missed.
Bud was a loved and caring guy we always had a fun time visiting Lisa and Bud . He will be greatly missed by so many love ones will be praying for Lisa and family.
