Kenneth L. Henry, 103

Kenneth L. Henry, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 103 years old. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Solomon and Mary Ethel (Dampman) Henry. He was the loving husband of Virginia L. Henry, who died in 2010.

Ken was a 1939 graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School. Following graduation, he joined the Army Air Force, serving in Cuba and Guam during World War II until being honorably discharged in 1946.

Ken worked in sales for many years and then went to work for Kellogg’s where he wore many hats until his retirement.

Family was most important to Ken; he especially took pride in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ken, along with his wife, Virginia, volunteered for Meals on Wheels through the Lititz Church of the Brethren. An avid softball player, he played on St. Anne’s team in Lancaster and enjoyed watching girls’ softball through the years. He coached for little league baseball in the fields that were behind the Wilbur Chocolate factory. Ken also served as a Boy Scout leader for a time. Ken was also a proud Eagle’s fan and was so happy to see them win the Superbowl this past year!

Ken is survived by his children: Jeff Henry, of Sparks, NV, Bruce Henry, husband of Kathy, of Brigham City, UT, Larry Henry, of Lititz, and Julie K. Henry-Ruhl, of Lititz; grandchildren: Joshua and Jason Henry Ruhl, Amber Henry, and Tommi Henry Aldredge; and great-grandchildren: Rayn Storm Henry Aldredge, Henry Aldredge, Madison Henry Ruhl, Landon Henry Ruhl, Hailey Henry Ruhl, Asher Ruhl, Daniel Ruhl, Michah Ruhl, Matisse Messer and Derek Luna.

A viewing for Ken will be held from 6PM to 8PM, Friday, May 30, 2025, at Spacht-Snyder Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 127 S. Broad St., Lititz, PA 17543. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
