Justin M. Oberholtzer, 42
October 21, 2025
Justin M. Oberholtzer, 42, of Lititz, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, after a courageous seven-year battle with ALS. He was the devoted husband of Lori Oberholtzer, loving father of Talia and Ben, beloved son of Donovan and Carol Oberholtzer, dear brother of Jana MacKay and friend to many.
A graduate of Warwick High School, Justin went on to attend James Madison University, where he earned his BA in Finance and served as emcee for Cru. After graduation, he began a successful career as a Realtor with Keller Williams. In time, Justin and Lori combined their creativity and entrepreneurial spirits to found Plumb & Fig, a home renovation and interior design business.
Justin’s love of adventure led him to travel and backpack around the world. Known for his spontaneity, he was always ready for a last-minute trip or family outing. With a witty sense of humor and an unwavering faith in Jesus, Justin inspired everyone who knew him. To Lori, Talia, and Ben, he was more than a husband and dad- he was their superhero.
A lifelong athlete, Justin loved soccer, fastpacking, and working out. He and Lori were deeply involved in their church and community, where he continued to grow in his passion for discipleship and his understanding of God’s Word.
Justin’s story will be told by many including his wife of 12 years, Lori, his beloved children, Talia and Ben; his parents, Don and Carol Oberholtzer; his sister, Jana MacKay, wife of James; and his grandfather, Jay Oberholtzer. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, David and Esther Weaver, and Rhoda Oberholtzer.
Justin’s journey with ALS, marked by extraordinary faith, hope and perseverance is shared at walkuphill.com.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, November 1 at 10AM at Ephrata Community Church: 70 Clay School Road, Ephrata, PA 17522 (enter through the back North Entrance). I’m so deeply sorry for your family’s loss. Losing a father, son, husband, and friend leaves a void that words cannot fill, but I hope you feel the love and support surrounding you.
He was a talented athlete and soccer player and an even more inspiring man and I will carry his memory with me.
Please know I’m holding all of you in my thoughts.
With heartfelt sympathy,Ryan Bock

Lori and Family,
My heart breaks for you and I pray for God’s grace during this time. It was a joy to be around you guys during a small part of the journey. I wish I could have done more to help. You and Justin’s faith and witness were strong during all these challenges. Justin was such an awesome and fun guy to be around. I will never forget the laying on of hands that all of his friends did for him and your trust in God. I look forward to hearing his laugh again in heaven.
May God bless you!

Hello, you don’t know me but I saw the ECC update of Justin and I’m truly sorry and heart heavy for the loss of your husband and father to your beautiful children. My sister died of ALS in 2023 after 5 years of decline and there’s not much to describe the cruelty of this experience and the heaviness it brings to all involved. I admire so much your faithful love and that Justin continued to play a strong role in his family. I rejoice with you for the times spent and the seeds sowed and the love and bond that your family has (not all families have that) and the glory in which Justin is now in the presence of Jesus. I pray for a different strength now as you navigate life with your children but without your beloved husband. My condolences to your entire extended family on your loss.

To the family of Justin I am so sorry 😞 but I know Justin is indeed at home in Heaven with His Savior Jesus Christ. I met Justin and Lori at The Lords House of Prayer 🙏🏼 in 2016 when I was attending Membwrship/Discipleship training with him and his wife. Justin not only read and obeyed the Word of God he was a very kind and loving man who showed Jesus to many! For many years I asked the Lord to heal Justin here on earth but God had different plans. He took Justin to His eternal home in Heaven where there is no more pain and suffering. Lord Jesus thank You for being faithful to Justin. Continue to wrap Your loving arms around Lori and the children every day to show them You are there for them. You are deeply loved Lori and once again “I’m so very sorry” . Trudi Doubleday

I knew Justin through the KW family. He was the sweetest young man and always had a smile. My heart breaks for Lori and their children and my hope is God will carry them through this difficult time. God was ready for Justin and we must appreciate His goodness. Joan Schwebel
