Judith L. Palacios, 67

Judith L. Palacios, 67, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, February 27, 2018. Born in Kansas City, MO, she was the daughter of the late Jesse B. and Mary (Kirlin) Lewis. She was the loving wife of Juan X. Palacios, with whom she celebrated 37 years of marriage.
Judy was a very creative, fun loving, kind and sweet person who was loved by all who knew her. She worked as an Assistant Manager for Alfred Dunner at the Rockvale Outlet Store. She was an avid reader, loved to do counted cross stitch, gardening and go outlet shopping. She loved her cats, and she and her husband rescued many feral cats and utilized the Trap, Neuter and Release program at Helping Hands for Animals in Lancaster.
In addition to her husband, Judy is survived by her sisters, Kathleen A. Carriere of North Beach, MD, and Margaret E. Lewis of Kansas City, MO; and a brother Mike Lewis of Eatonton, GA. Also surviving are her step-children, Dianna Palacios and Javier Palacios, both of Richfield, NJ; 8 step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services for Judy will be held at 11:30 AM, Sunday, March 11, 2018, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Judy’s name may be made to Helping Hands for Animals, Lancaster, at www.helpinghandsforanimals.org.

I was a classmate of Judy’s at Lancaster Catholic High School and was so sorry to hear of her passing. She was a terrific girl and we had a lot of fun hanging out together. She was very joyful to be around. My sincere condolences to the entire family.

It is with deep sadness that I learn of the passing of Judy! Always pleasant, fun and a delight to be around and spend time with! She and Juan have been friends for quite some time! All of my sincere wishes for the entire family to find comfort at this difficult time! I regret that I will be traveling and unable to attend Judy’s services, but I will be there in spirit!
