Josean Martinez, 40
October 03, 2020
Josean Martinez, 40, of Lancaster, was taken from us too soon on October 3, 2020. Born in Ponce, PR, he was the son of Maria Cruz and the late Raul Martinez.
Josean was handy and was always available to help you work on a project or fix the mistakes you did not know you had made. He always wanted to help. Innovative and creative, he could look at something and see what needed to be done to make it work and he would do it. Josean loved music and when he listened to his favorites, he would get into his zone.
Josean was his authentic self in all things that he did. He had an incredible personality and could get along with anyone. He was funny and always cracking jokes or one of his trademark sayings. The relationships he had with his friends and family were most important. In fact, most of his friends were family to him. He was loyal, understanding, and always willing to give second chances. His swag and charm worked well with the ladies, but also ensured that you would not be able to stay mad at him for long. If it was not a joke that would make you smile, it would be him asking to go get food with you or hang out.
He will be deeply missed by his loving family including his four children; Kwon Lewis, Madelyne Martinez, Josean Martinez Jr., and Juni Martinez, his siblings, Catherine Martinez, Yadria Martinez, Henrique Martinez, and Jalitza Martinez, his mother; Maria Cruz, his wife, Jessica Yulfo, and his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father and his older brother, Raul Martinez Jr. “Tito”.
Guests will be invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 4:00-6:00pm at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster PA 17602. A Service will be held Thursday, October 15, at 12:00pm also at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, King St. Guests will be received on Thursday prior to the service starting at 11:00am.
