Jose Santiago-Ortiz, 83

Jose Santiago-Ortiz, 83, of Lancaster, died Monday, July 6, 2015 at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy.
Born in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, he was the husband of the late Francisca S. Ortiz, who died in 1988. He was the son of the late Santo and Primitiva (Ortiz) Santiago.
He was a member of Good Shepherd Mennonite Church, Lancaster.
Jose is survived by 12 children: Maria Santiago Colon of Puerto Rico, Carmen Santiago Colon of Lancaster, Jose Santiago and his wife Carmen of East Petersburg, Aida Pagan and her husband Nelson and Irma Santiago Colon, all of Lancaster, Elisa Santiago of Mount Joy, Aida Roldan and her husband Carmelo, Margarita Mangual and her husband Cecilio, Robert Santiago Colon, and Noemi, David, and Raymond Santiago, all of Lancaster; 24 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Regino Santiago of Puerto Rico, and a sister, Josephine Santiago of Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday, July 10, 2015 at Good Shepherd Mennonite Church, 645 Harrison St, Lancaster, with Rev. Samuel Lopez and Pastor Jose Lopez officiating. Family and friends will be received from 7 to 9 PM on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St, Lancaster, and again one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Burial will follow in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
