John S. Eshbach, 83

John S. Eshbach, of Lititz, passed away on June 29, 2025, at the age of 83. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Anna (Seldomridge) Eshbach.

After graduating from J.P. McCaskey High School, John went on to further his education and earned a bachelor’s degree from Catawba College in North Carolina. Most of his professional career was spent at High Steel Service Center where he retired as a purchasing manager.

A man of many passions, John had a love for fishing, swimming, and sports, and he was known for his deep commitment to community and fellowship. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Purchasing Clubs of Lancaster County, and a cherished member of the Lancaster Elks Lodge #134 for 50 years. John’s vibrant spirit extended beyond his family, as he participated actively in various church groups at the Church of the Apostles UCC.

John is survived by his beloved wife and high school sweetheart of 60 years, Bonnie M. Eshbach; his daughters: Dr. Julianna Eshbach Weiss (wife of Mark), Salinda Kate Kendig (wife of Kerry), and Molly Marie Leedy (wife of Tim), and seven grandchildren: Abigail and Caroline Weiss, Connor and Cole Kendig and Reins, Mae and Rylie Leedy.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 9AM to 10AM at the Church of the Apostles UCC, 1850 Marietta Ave, Lancaster, PA 17603, with a memorial service to begin at 10AM. Burial to follow at Groffdale Mennonite Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s honor to Church of the Apostles for the Where Welcome Grows Campaign.
