Joe H. Pfautz
Joe H. Pfautz, 86, of Lititz, passed away on Monday at his residence.
He was the husband of the late June M. St. Clair Pfautz, who passed away in 2008. Born in Lititz, he was the son of the late Roy and Mary (Diehm) Pfautz.
Joe had served for 24 years in the US Army, retiring as a Lt. Colonel. He served during World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. He also had worked in management at the Host Resorts in Lancaster for 17 years until 1985.
He was a 1940 graduate of Lititz High School, and a 1960 graduate of the University of Maryland.
Joe was a member of St. James Catholic Church.
He is survived by his 2 sons: Joe II married to Ruth Pfautz and Craig married to Wendy Pfautz, both of Lititz; 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a sister Margaret Pfautz of Lititz. He was preceded in death by a sister and 3 brothers.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 10-11AM at St James Catholic Church, 505 Woodcrest Ave, Lititz, PA with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11AM. Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Friday. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517.
