Born in Kunkletown, she was one of eight children born to the late Oscar E. and Carrie M. (Beer) Beers. She was the loving wife of the late Charles F. Jeanette graduated from the Stephen S. Palmer High School in 1944. Earlier in life she helped work on the family farm and later worked in several of the local garment factories, retiring from Fernbrook Sportswear in 1989. Following retirement she traveled extensively, both internationally and within the U.S. An active member of the community, she volunteered at the Palmerton Hospital, The Nearly New Shop and at her church, First United Church of Christ, Palmerton. George of Millersville, PA. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren: Karen L. Collins (Ryan), Brett R. Hamm (Elaine), Nicole S. Shoemaker (Rob), David C. Christman, Jr. (Theresa), Kory A. George, Sr.; sister, Ferne Smith; and brothers, Bruce, Harvey, Henry and Curtis Beers and William Ruhmel.

My sincere condolences to the family of Jeanette Christman.  I really enjoyed picking her up to take her along to many of our Ruby Belles Red Hat chapter events, she was such an inspiration for me.  She helped us decorate the Palmerton mule next to her apartment, with Boas, Red Hat and other purple accessories, it was in the winter and there was snow on the ground, of course we had to eat at all functions, so we went to breakfast at Berts after a sleepover at the UCC Church on Delaware, so we went in our pajamas, and ended up with our picture in the Times News.  Nancy Herzog
