Jean Anne Merrion Holder, 91

Jean Anne Merrion Holder, 91, of Lititz, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026, at Moravian Manor. Born in Norristown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Marion (Rohrbach) Merrion. She was married over 68 years to her beloved husband Arthur James Holder, M.D., until his passing in 2023.

Jean was a graduate of Ephrata High School and attended the Abington Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of the Lititz Women’s Club for over 50 years, a member of the Lititz Historical Foundation, and assisted with Girl Scouts. Jean loved to travel and find new experiences, and she never missed one of her family’s events. She was a talented cook, loved refinishing furniture, reading, fishing, golfing, and gardening.

Jean was predeceased by her sister Bernice Dietzel and her daughter Ardyth Edgerton. She is survived by her son, William M. Holder (Sheree Riley), 5 grandchildren: Christin Holder, Laura Jean Faber (Matt), Katharine Holder, Andrew Edgerton, and Tyler Edgerton (Cheryl); son-in-law Craig Edgerton, niece Sharon Cichocki (Andrew) and nephew Robert Dietzel (Kerry); and 6 grand nieces and nephews: Lauren, Lindsay, Brynn, Devon, Courtney, and Kasey.

A memorial service for Jean will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11 AM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. The family will receive guests from 10-11 AM.
