Jason A. Bragg, 40

April 15, 2021

Jason Allen Bragg, 40, of Conshohocken, went home to be with his Lord, Thursday, April 15, 2021, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Ruth N. Encarnacion Erazo and Hardy Allen Bragg, Jr.

Jason enjoyed life on the road whether it was behind the wheel of a tractor trailer, charter bus, or even as a Lyft driver.

You could not have found a more loyal fan of the Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Eagles, than Jason – they were his teams! To his family, Jason was the counsellor and kept everyone moving in a positive direction. He had the sweetest tooth anyone had ever seen this side of Hershey and his favorite drinks were Pepsi and sweet tea.

In addition to his parents, Jason will be greatly missed by his sister, Eva Bragg, of Lancaster and his brother, Michael Bragg, his wife Tia and their son Caleb, of Hagerstown, MD; his grandparents, Noemi Encarnacion, of Lancaster, Hardy and Evelyn Bragg of Charlotte NC and his aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Pedro Encarnacion.

Funeral Services for Jason will be held at 2PM, Friday, April 30, 2021 at Lancaster Independent Baptist Church, 33 E. Center St., Lititz, PA 17543, with Pastor Timothy York officiating. Family and friends will be received at the church from 1PM to 2PM. Jason will be laid to rest at Westminster Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Lancaster.

I just read the news of Jason’s passing. I am so sad to know I had asked for him always as my driver for my PA student groupd. He was such a great guy. I always knew we were in good hands with him behind the wheel. My sympathies and prayers to the family.

Jason was first and foremost a man of God. I had the privilege of being his roommate for several years after college. He was a member of my family for a number of years and a faithful friend. Jason loved unconditionally and whole heartedly. He was a man of character and integrity. I will never hear the Christian rock we loved in the early 2000’s without hearing his voice singing it. E-A-G-L-E-S! Love you, brother.

Rest in peace my friend! You were a great friend and co-worker. You always had my back. I will miss sitting down for our 5 min (1hr 30 min) conversations about life and leadership. Your smile was contagious and you had such a bright spirit. I will miss our drive thru days to Chick-fil-A on the way home from chemo. God speed Jason. Until we meet again.
May we rest assured that Jason is with the Lord and wrapped in His loving arms. My sincerest condolences to the Bragg family.

To the Bragg/Encarnacion families, I am so sorry for your loss. Jason was my first boyfriend and we were together for 7 years. While we weren’t right for each other, he changed my life indelibly. Who I am today is in large part because of who Jason was and I am blessed to have known him. His family values and sense of humor were the light of the world. The world is a significantly worse place without him in it. Praying blessings for each of you in the family.

To all our dearly loved Encarnacion family, Fidel and I are saddened for your loss yet praising God for the Godly example of Jason. We will never forget his beautiful smile and humble, loving spirit. He reminds us of his grandfather Pedro who will also always live in our hearts. Here’s a verse from King David.  ” How great is Your goodness that You have stored up for those who fear You.” Ps. 32:19

I’ve worked with Jason for about eight years. We’ve traveled many places together, and we’ve talked more often. Our biggest debate was over whether or not Special Dark milkshakes from Hershey were the best. I’ll have to see for myself and toast him. Jason will truly be missed. He was more than a coworker, he was my friend. I’m all the better for having him in my life.
My sympathies to his family.

My name is Tom and I worked with Jason at Werner Bus.  I always thought he was a smart, quiet and hard working man.  We crossed the Delaware River on a Ferry Boat together .  RIP Jason.
