Janet F. Johnson, 83, of 1819 Glenbrook Ave., Lancaster, passed away October 23rd at the Essa Flory Hospice Center surrounded by her family.

She was born in Schuylkill Haven in 1924, daughter of the late Bert and Gertrude Foye.  She was the loving partner and wife of Franklin Johnson.  They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in August.  Supporting her husband's military career she traveled to more than 15 military installations throughout the US while simultaneously managing a family.

She maintained a lifelong passion for contract bridge belonging to the Lancaster Contract Bridge Association and attaining her Silver Life Master Certificate.  She is an alumnus of the Sacred Heart Academy of Lancaster.

Aside from her loving husband she is survived by three sons, David Johnson and Courtney Johnson of Lancaster, and Greg Johnson of York.  In addition, she has one granddaughter Taylor J. Fountain of Jupiter, FL.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Leo The Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA on Thursday, October 30th at 11AM. A viewing will be held at St. Leo's from 10am to 11AM.  Interment will be at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery immediately following the mass.  In lieu of flowers, it is respectfully requested that donations  be given to Hospice of Lancaster County, Box 4125, Lancaster, PA  17604-4125 for their professional support and loving care.
