James S. Sorrentino, Jr. "Jay," 57, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on December 22nd, 2024. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on December 29th, 1966, to James S. Sorrentino, Sr., and the late Linda A. (Hills) Sorrentino.

Jay will be remembered for his many remarkable gifts, among them his unmatched devotion to creating, connecting, and collaborating. Jay possessed unique and incredible musical talent. He spent his entire life behind a drum kit, playing with finesse, skill, and expression from a very early age. After high school, Jay began his professional career in recording and performing. He toured with Daddy C & The All-Stars before becoming the drummer for the trio "suddenly, tammy!.

He left an indelible mark; signing first to an independent label achieving critical acclaim which led to a major label signing with Warner Brothers Records in 1994. With "suddenly, tammy!" he recorded two full-length albums, several EPs, and toured through 1997. Jay then continued cultivating his passion for original music as the drummer, recording artist, engineer, and producer for many local bands. He also taught private lessons and was highly regarded and deeply loved by the many lives that he touched with m his genuine kindness, outreach, and desire to help others.

Jay is survived by his father James S. (Cindy) Sorrentino, Sr., sisters Beth Sorrentino and Martha (Michael) Liebowitz, nephew Benjamin, step siblings Thomas (Meggan) Griggs and Sara (Andy) Smith and step niece Nora. Jay was preceded in death by his mother, Linda A. (Hills) Sorrentino.
