Dear Lea, Kathy, Jim and especially Matthew
I am so very sorry to hear of Mick’s passing (though to a better place where you will someday be with him again). I have many fond memories of your entire family at the Severino’s and later when I was fortunate enough to have Matt become my step-son. I will be keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Jim and Kathy, I am so sorry to hear that your dad has died. We share a special bond by being part of the Caccamo/Severino family. I remember your dad fondly. I can still see him, hear him speak, and hear him laugh at the Christmas Eve celebrations at Uncle Paul and Aunt Josie’s house. That celebration had special meaning for me. There are times when I wish that I could back just one more time and revisit that gathering of love and family. Every year your Dad told the same two jokes at Christmas Eve. I did not know what the jokes meant, but I laugh because my Dad, Harry, laughed. After reading his obit, one of the jokes has special meaning. Your Dad served in the Army Air Corp. One of the jokes was about a very persistent German Airplane called a Messerschmitt. Now the joke is funny and has special significance for me. The other joke was about a rail road car dealing with Norfolk, Virginia. Every Christmas Eve I pause, remember and reflect on that gathering of family and friends, and I how lucky I am to be part of the celebration. In this difficult time I hope and pray that the peace and love of OUR LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ, be with you and your Mother now and always. Sincerely, Harry and Judy Gaul

My condolances to the Mcmanus family. I worked as Jim’s Merchandise Manager in the Lancaster store for four years. I probably should say that I worked for Jim. He was such a character and one of the finest furniture merchants in the Eastern Territory for Sears. He was extremely respected within the organization. A fine person and I know he will be deeply missed by his family. My deepest sympathies, Terry Hicks.
