James M. Bachman, 76

James M. “Jim” Bachman, 76, of Lititz, passed away at home on Thursday, January 19, 2023. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Carl and Jane (Banzhof) Bachman. He was married to Linda (Wolpert) Bachman for over 46 years.
Jim was a 1965 graduate of Warwick High School. After graduation, he worked for Baby Dy Dee Service for over 26 years. After that, he worked for HCSC in sales until his retirement. Jim was an avid, lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and even had the opportunity to stand on the 50-yard line at Heinz Field. He also had a passion for building model train sets and golfing. Jim, along with his wife, enjoyed vacationing in Myrtle Beach every year with his group of friends.
In addition to his wife, Linda, Jim is survived by 5 children: Tammy L. Adams (Michael), Melissa M. Christen (Jan), Elizabeth A. Sterner (Darvin), Jennifer J. Reed, and Brian K. Styer; and 13 grandchildren: Christopher, Stephen, Trek, Madalyn, Autumn, Felicity, Chloe, Wayne, Dawson, Peyton, Julia, Ivy Jane, and Nicholas. He was preceded in death by his sister Myrna Hollinger and son Ronald B. Styer, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Lititz Moravian Church, 8 Church Square, Lititz, with a visitation to begin at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jim’s name can be made to American Heart Association, 4250 Crums Mill Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17112, or Prevent Suicide PA, P.O. Box 33, Wernersville, PA 19565.

Sorry Linda, I could not make it to the viewing was away at the time. Jim was a great guy to have on my Eagles midget football team. Was always there, to pick us up when we were down and to make us laugh.
