James J. Diggs, Jr., 30

October 25, 1992 - December 09, 2022

James J. Diggs, Jr. “Boo”, 30, of Lititz, PA, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022. Born in Philadelphia, PA on October 25, 1992, and raised in Lancaster, PA. He was the son of James J. Diggs, Sr. and Maribel Santel-Rivera, stepfather, Genaro Santel-Rivera, and stepfather, Arthur Boyer. James “Boo” was the beloved husband of Jennifer Schrom and was the proud father of Malina and Messiah. He was preceded in passing by his maternal grandmother, Ana Sanchez, and uncle Jorge Falcon.

In 2011 James “Boo” graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School. He was a self-proclaimed contractor taking on various renovation projects. He enjoyed night fishing and watching his beloved Philadelphia Eagles on game day, it’s safe to say he was a die-hard Philly sports fan, following his father, James Sr.’s footsteps. He enjoyed spending quality time with his wife and kids taking trips to the beach and hanging out at home. His love for family was very apparent as he enjoyed catching up with his family and friends often, over a good home cooked meal. James was quite the cook following in his mother Maribel’s traditional Puerto Rican meals.

James “Boo” will be remembered as an honorable man who was loyal to those closest to him. He was quite the jokester once he broke out of his quiet nature. He was generous and kind, often checkin in on his Nanny and always willing to help those in need.

In addition to his wife, parents, and children, James “Boo” was survived by paternal grandmother, Geneva Diggs-Baker; his sister, Erica Diggs, mother of Zaahir, Asani and Carlif Jr.; sisters, Adrianna Boyer and Alena Boyer; god mother, Mita Sanchez; as well as his aunts, uncles, and an abundance of cousins and many friends.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. A funeral service will take place at the Mountville Church of the Brethren, 60 Clay St. Mountville PA 17554, on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 12 PM. Guests are invited to attend a viewing at the church, beginning at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
