Herbert Leroy Maxwell, II “Herbie”, 51
January 21, 2024
Herbert Leroy Maxwell, II, 51, of Lititz passed away at Hershey Medical Center on Sunday, January 21, 2024. Herbie was born in Coatesville, the son of the late Herbert Leroy Maxwell I, and the late Patricia Jean (Thompson) Bair.
A graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School, Class of 1991, Herbie worked in the Music Production business.
Herbie was very spiritual. He loved music so much, listening (80’s and 90’s were his favorite) and producing. He enjoyed drawing, painting, gardening, nature, and feeding all of the wildlife that would come to his back yard. Herbie loved watching movies and especially loved Science Fiction. He also enjoyed collecting watches and pens, he always had a pen or Sharpie if anyone needed one. And one of his favorite things was to watch football, baseball, and especially basketball with his wife Stacy. He cheered on the Raiders, Dodgers, and Sixers.
Family was everything to Herbie and one way he showed his love was by cooking for them just about every day.
Herbie is survived by his wife, Stacy A. Dommel of Lititz, son Herbert Leroy Maxwell III of Lititz, son Nickolas Edward Maxwell of Lititz, daughter Elisa Nicole Thomas of Arizona, sister Eva M. Maxwell-Cummings, wife of Carlton Cummings of Elizabethtown, brother Michael Morris, companion of Danyelle Bolton of Coatesville, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. Herbie was preceded in death by his sisters Kyatana D. Maxwell and Angela J. Maxwell.
The funeral will take place at 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 7, 2024, with a visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA 17604. Interment will follow in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.

Dear family, I had the pleasure of knowing Herbie when he lived in Parkesburg as a child. I babysat him and his sisters often. His mom, Pat, and my sister, Kathy Toaltoan were best friends. Praying for your peace and comfort in knowing that his absence is only until we see him again.
Sincerely, Janice Jackson (Toaltoan)
