Harold J. "Skip" Gribbin, Jr., 66, of Lancaster died Friday at Hospice of Lancaster County surrounded by his family.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Harold J., Sr. and Elizabeth Schemel Gribbin. He was the loving husband of Patricia Stoelker Gribbin.

Skip retired from Teacher's Protective Mutual Insurance Co., as Vice President, in 2008. He was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church. He loved playing guitar and started the folk group at St. Philip's in 1990. Skip loved scuba diving, boating, riding his motorcycle, exercising and weight lifting.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughters, Heather Morabito of Lancaster, Katie, wife of Jason Leisey of Mountville, and Debra, wife of Nicholas Dower of Mountville; and 6 grandchildren, Alyssa, Alexis, Madison, Mackenzie, Kai, and Olivia.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 3, from St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, at 11AM with Fr. Mark E. Weiss officiating. Friends may be received from 10 AM until the time of service at the church. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman.
