Gregory D. “Greg” Ebersole, 59

July 27, 2025

Gregory D. “Greg” Ebersole, 59, of New Providence, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at his residence surrounded by family.

Born and raised in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Eugene and Jeanette (Tyson) Ebersole. He was the loving husband of LuAnn M. (Charles) Ebersole.

Greg was a hardworking man who spent his career as an owner and operator truck driver for DD&S Express Trucking. He was known for his love of the open road and the freedom that came with it. Greg’s favorite place to be was in the mountains. He also enjoyed golfing in his free time and was always happy with a cold Keystone Lite in hand. Greg never passed up a chance to stop and chat—he loved connecting with friends and familiar faces wherever he went. He was a simple man who appreciated the little things in life.

He is survived by his wife, LuAnn Ebersole; his children, Zachary (Amanda Winters) Ebersole and Laun (Kyle Herr) Ebersole; his grandchildren, Lylah White and Layna Herr; his siblings, Cynthia Kauffman, Barbara Baker, Patricia Kern, Lynwood, Leonard, Aaron, Jeffrey, and Raymond Ebersole; and many more extended family.

Greg understood that family is not just defined by blood, but by the bonds we form with those we choose to walk alongside (PP & Family). His legacy will live on in the many lives he touched, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him (357 Crew).

Friends and family will be received from 6PM to 8PM on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Lancaster, PA 17602. A celebration of Greg’s life will be held on September 13th at 2:00PM, at Eckman Farm, 280 Eckman Lane, Conowingo MD. Friends, family, and all whose lives were touched by Greg are invited to join us in honoring his memory. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Greg’s name to a charity of your choosing.

Greg was a great guy. Loved talking to him when I went to pick up Brian. Zack and Brian hung out a lot. I considered you both as close friends. I am so sorry for your loss.

Oh my. Have not seen Greg for some years, but knew him and his band of Brothers from school and the general area to grow up in. He was quite a character. Funny, animated and always on the go. Not afraid of hard work either. My sincere condolences to his immediate family and extended family and that God helps comfort all. I sure will remember his character and with a smile.

Greg was an outstanding man. Hanging out with Zach and Laun growing up, obviously they became family. He always treated me as a son while I was around. I am extremely sorry for your loss. I know this hits hard for a lot of people.
