I remember being a kid, coming down the street to pet the Collie he had, Nicky and he was always so nice. Except when he found out we had crawled on to of his camper but even then he treated the neighborhood kids nicely. I’ve always remembered how kind he was, even to the brats Grant St. Rest well, bookie.

Dear Carol, Robin and Family, I was shocked and saddened to learn of your recent loss of your sweet husband and father. I shared this with my daughter Lisa who has fond memories of spending overnights and other playtimes with Robin and your family when we lived at 36 N. Concord St. (now part of the church property) and she too was struck with sadness. She remembered what a loving man Butch was and as she put it, "how much in love the two of you seemed to be." I also have fond memories with you Carol, not only of being neighbors, but also of driving the school buses and having breakfast together some days. Lisa and I are deeply sorry for your loss and hope that you find comfort in your happy memories of a long life together and all the good things you shared. Love, Carol Weitzel
I met Gordon through my niece Olivia. Last year their was a band storm on Grant Street . Gordon came to the rescue for my niece when her basement was flooded. He went all out to help her and borrowed a sub pump to help clear out the water from her basement. He was truly a hero that night. We could not have removed all the water ourselves. My brother wanted to pay him for his help but he refused and said, "that is what neighbor’s are for"!!!!!!
God bless you Gordon!!!!! Michelle Olivia’s Aunt.
